Landscapes/Cityscapes Vienna: Land of the Overpriced
This photo journal by Ellen Kamilakis contains both photos and prose. All photography was taken by the author, and all prose was written by the author. Click on the images below to open Ellen's photo journal in a new window. Vienna was the least interesting place I visited while studying in Eastern Europe. Coming from Prague, everything in Vienna was overpriced and too Westernized. Vienna has its own Subway and Sky Bar even! Some of the architecture was intriguing, but the city itself, (not to mention its history) was not my style. My photographs looked like postcards, simply because I could not find subversive beauty there like I could in Prague. Vienna does not do justice to the photographs.
