Start your getaway with a visit to the summer capital of the country- Baguio. Don’t worry, being the summer capital doesn’t mean that the heat here is unbearable. On the contrary, when people cannot stand the heat of the cities, they head to this town located some 1,500 meters above the sea level. There are a lot of things to enjoy in Baguio including the pine tree views, parks and nice climate, which are all ingredients for a perfect honeymoon getaway or simply a relaxing holiday.

Another must-see place is Bohol. This amazing city is home to the smallest living mammal in the world, the tarsier, which is something all nature and animal lovers must see. The province also has a wide range of beaches and resorts and is home to some of the best diving locations in the world. The Chocolate Hills-numerous moulds of limestone formations are another attraction that can be viewed by air or by climbing the highest point.

The so-called Fire Island, Camiguin is another frequently visited place in the country. The place boasts with gorgeous views of the coast, hot springs and white sands – everything you could ever wish for. Many foreign nationals can’t resist the charm of the place and decide to settle down so be careful or you just may not want to go home!

Davao city is a place with mountains, white sand beaches, magnificent coral reefs, exciting city life and everything in between. Home to the highest peak in the Philippines, Mt Apo, this city is one of the largest in the country and has something to offer to everyone. If you are up for a nice, romantic getaway, the island of Samal is a short ferry boat ride away. For the more adventurous, a climb to Mt. Apo will assure you the adrenaline rush and for those who love creation, the numerous parks, resorts and activities will leave you drooling for more.
